Dieburg/Darmstadt: Vom 15. Juni bis 14. Juli 2024 findet im Museum Schloss Fechenbach die Medienkunstausstellung des Masterstudiengangs International Media Cultural Work (IMC), Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da)/Mediencampus Dieburg, statt. Unter dem Titel “überˣmorgen – Digitale Positionen zur Gemeinsamkeit” zeigt die Ausstellung eine Vielzahl von Medienkunstwerken.
Die diesjährige Ausstellung markiert das 10-jährige Jubiläum der Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem International Media Cultural Work (IMC) Master und dem Museum Schloss Fechenbach, Dieburg.
Die Vernissage findet am Samstag, den 15. Juni um 15:30 Uhr statt. Zum Abschluss der Finissage wird der Dieburger Nachwuchspreises für Medienkultur an drei ausgewählte künstlerische Arbeiten vergeben.
Die Medienkunstinstallationen erforschen die komplexe Wechselwirkung zwischen Erinnerung, Ort und Zeit. Verschiedene Installationsformate untersuchen, wie sie unsere Identitäten und Erfahrungen im digitalen Medienzeitalter prägen. Wir zeigen Ihnen eine farbenfrohe Vergangenheit durch traditionellere Formen wie Gemälde und Fotografien, während wir verschiedene Interpretationen der Zukunft durch Neue Medien wie VR, 3D-Audio/Film, generative KI und mehr präsentieren. Diese verschiedenen Medien zeigen unser Engagement und unsere Bereitschaft, unterschiedliche Perspektiven und Standpunkte zu verstehen.
Das “X” in Großbuchstaben steht nicht nur für das zehnjährige Jubiläum der Kooperation zwischen der International Media Cultural Work (IMC) und dem Museum Schloss Fechenbach, sondern auch für die unendlichen Positionen und Ideen, wie wir uns der Zukunft nähern und die Schnittpunkte, die wir finden und etablieren müssen.

aboutˣtomorrow – Digital positions on commonality
Dieburg/Darmstadt: From 15th June to 14th July 2024, Museum Schloss Fechenbach/Dieburg will host the annual media art exhibition of Hochschule Darmstadt’s Master’s program, International Media Cultural Work (IMC)/Mediencampus Dieburg. Under the title of “aboutˣtomorrow: Digital Positions on Common Ground”, the exhibition will show a variety of media art.
This year’s exhibition will mark the 10th year anniversary of the collaboration between International Media Cultural Work (IMC)/h_da and the Museum Schloss Fechenbach, Dieburg.
The vernissage will take place on Saturday, 15th of June at 15:30. The finissage on Sunday, 14th of July 15:30 will close with awarding the Dieburg Newcomer Prize for Media Culture to three selected exhibits.
The exhibits explore the complex interaction between memory, place, time through multiple media art formats. They’ll focus on the shaping of our identities and experiences in the digital media age. We will show you a bustling past through more traditional forms, such as paintings and photographs, while presenting varying interpretations of tomorrow alongside new age media such as VR, 3D audio/film, generative AI, and more. These varied media show our commitment and drive towards understanding diverse perspectives and point of views.
These days, filter bubbles, polarization, extremism, ideology, and movements arise and are loud and visible in the media. That’s why it is becoming increasingly important to find common ground and intersections. The exhibition will show how ideas, visions, and criticisms of tomorrow are reflected in digital media productions, and how young media artists’ works are contributing to overcome segmentation.
Each work invites viewers and listeners to engage deeply, merging sensory experiences with reflective narratives.
The “X” in uppercase stands not only for the tenth anniversary of the cooperation between h_da’s Master’s program International Media Cultural Work with Museum Schloss Fechenbach and the community of Dieburg but also for the multitude of positions and ideas on how to approach the future and the crossroads that we need to find and establish.
